Rae graduated from The Columbus College of Art and Design, where she obtained her BFA in photography. While working as a staff photographer for Premier Health, a nationally recognized hospital system in Dayton, Ohio, her home was destroyed by a tornado. This near-death experience prompted Rae to approach life differently, and it also renewed her desire to be in-service to others.

Currently, Rae is the owner and lead photographer of Purple Star Photography in Columbus, Ohio, where she is committed to helping women and girls celebrate their true beauty.
