Shine is a native of Columbus, Ohio, and started learning piano at the age of seven under Bella Volkova. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, having studied under Steve Glaser and Maria Staeblein, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, both from The Ohio State University.

She teaches piano and collaborates with the Clintonville Community Choir, Suzuki Columbus, Olentangy Liberty High School Choirs, and the Central Ohio Symphony. She also created and directs the Cornerstone Youth Band at her church and routinely collaborates with students and faculty at The Ohio State University School of Music.

Shine enjoys living life with family and friends, the outdoors, traveling, reading, crafting, and tea! She lives with her spouse and two cats.
